just went thru a chapter 11 , and its being dismissed do too the attorney feel's there's not enough income with the restructure plan and i have 2 prexsiting jugdements is there anything i can do to put them on hold to give me time to take a ' new ' direction ? does the courts allow you any kind relief ?

Hi - my name is Kirk and I'm a Bankruptcy litigation attorney. Thanks for your question.

Unfortunately, once the case is dismissed (order of dismissal filed), the automatic stay also ends and creditors can immediately resume their collection efforts.

Te only way to continue to receive protection would be to file another chapter of bankruptcy - - which would likely have to be a chapter 7 if a repayment plan cannot be sustained.

Other than filing another bankruptcy petition to stop collection efforts, the judgment creditors are allowed to proceed with collecting the debt.
