In Minnesota, may a student loan be added as an unsecured, special class creditor to be paid 100% in a Chapter 13 Plan?
Hi JACustomer,
There is no priority or special class category available for student loans, which are treated the same as other unsecured debts, such as credit card debt.
(Probably the most common special class category would be for the repayment of medical debts, where the debtor has to pay a doctor in full in order to continue to receive treatment. But a special class will not be allowed for student loans.)
