Bankruptcy Law Questions? Ask a Bankruptcy Lawyer Now.
Hi - my name is Chris and I'm a Bankruptcy attorney here to assist you.
Did you file a Chapter 7 or a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy?
Thank you for your response.
A Chapter 7 Bankruptcy can discharge your liability to pay the second mortgage, but cannot remove the lien.
This means the second mortgage company can foreclose that house once the balance owed on the first mortgage is less than the market value of the house.
Is this what you wanted to know.
