Do I have to do the credit couseling before I file an emergency

Do I have to do the credit couseling before I file an emergency chapter 7 bankruptcy or do I have a certain time frame to get it done after filing initial forms?

Hi JACustomer,

You must take the Credit Counseling course before you file your Bankruptcy, but you are allowed to submit the Credit Counseling Certificate within 14 days after filing your Bankruptcy.
