in 2009 I filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy and included two mortgage

Resolved Question:

in 2009 I filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy and included two mortgage payments in the deal. I was discharged of all debts in May09'. Now my credit report shows the accounts that were part of the bankruptcy as "In Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. But the bank has not foreclosed on the house yet. My question is....when the house gets foreclosed on or gets short sold, will my credit get hit again or not?

cortrightlaw : It should not get hit again and in fact the debt should be listed on your report as discharged in bankruptcy since you are no longer liable for that debt.

Should I check my credit report to see why it doesn't show "discharged"?

cortrightlaw : Yes and file a dispute with the credit reporting agencies.

I will ....Thank you!
