I filed chapter 7 and listed landlord (commercial lease) on

Resolved Question:

I filed chapter 7 and listed landlord (commercial lease) on it (I signed personal guaranty).
On the guaranty stated that I have to pay them even I have filed bankruptcy.

Will bankruptcy protect me on this matter?

Hi JACustomer,

The right to file a Bankruptcy is protected by the US Constitution. This means it is a right that cannot be waived.

In other words, the debt in question can be discharged in a Bankruptcy even though you signed an agreement that said you have to pay even if you file a Bankruptcy.
