i filed for bankruptcy before the laws changed. can u tell me when they changed? i m out of the country and i cant remember what year i did the bankruptcy. also, when will this be off my credit report?

Hi JACustomer,

The new Bankruptcy laws (called "BAPCPA") went into effect October 17, 2005. A Bankruptcy remains on one's credit report for 10 years.
