Hi and thank you for your question. In the future, you can request me to answer any further questions.
If you did not reaffirm the debt (sign a reaffirmation agreement after you filed, to allow the debt to survive after bankruptcy) then the debt will be discharged in the case you filed.
You are still able to keep the home as long as you make payments.
if you did sign one, then you are on the hook for the payments.
You can file a chapter 13 to cure the arrears if you are interested in keeping the home.
Talk to your bankruptcy attorney to see if you did sign the reaffirmation agreement.
if you didn't sign one, the lender will go thru foreclosure to transfer title only, then that's it.
If you have a homeowers association, you are on the hook for the payments until the foreclosure is complete.
Mortgage company declined me of a modification program because of a document not recieveed
try reapplying then.
They said no.
THe chapter 13 can help too, buying you time to refinance or do a loan modification down the line
want to get rid of.
ok, then you don't need to do anything if you did not sign the reaffirmation agreement.
You can let them foreclose, or you can try to sell it too if you wish.
