Yes - you can file a Bankruptcy and include a credit card that you have already received a court summons for. The Bankruptcy court will notify the court that issued the summons, and the credit card case will thereby be stopped.

In my opinion, filing a Bankruptcy is far superior to trying to work with debt consolidation companies, where one often ends up paying more in the long run. Bankruptcy is final, and eliminates debts. With a debt consolidation company, debts can easily last for years.
