Is it possible that a guitar could be exempted on Sched. C

Customer Question

Is it possible that a guitar could be exempted on Sched. C as a "Health Aid"? It's value is estimated at $1000. My husband has anxiety and high blood pressure. His doctor recently recommended that he play often to reduce stress.

Hi JACustomer,
Unless it can be proved that playing that particular guitar is necessary for his health, the trustee would probably order that the guitar be sold, and a cheaper one purchased.
