If a couple is divorced, but the home is still listed in joing

This answer was rated:

If a couple is divorced, but the home is still listed in joing tenancy, can one of them file bankruptcy (listing the home)? If so, will this affect the credit of the other person holding joint title (Who has been living in the home and making payments).
A bankruptcy will not affect the other party, however the other person is contractually liable to make all payments as well. If they continue to do so, the bankruptcy will have no affect on the credit of the non-filer. Thanks for your question, and good luck.
