FLAandNYLawyer, How long of a time do they give me to take

Resolved Question:

FLAandNYLawyer, How long of a time do they give me to take care of the writ after being served?

Hello,

Thank you for your additional question.

Typically you would have 10 days to respond to a writ of execution for money held in a bank account. Most other assets are seized immediately and you will need to file an objection to have the asset returned

So, any money I have in a bank account will be held?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.

So how do I go about taking care of this issue at this point? File for bk?

Hello,

A bankruptcy would immediately stop the execution of the writ.
