Resolved Question:

We filed bankruptcy about a year ago since that time we've made every car payment on time. Our auto finance changed companies last month, they repossesed our vehicle without any written or verbal communication. Also the repo company did not contact us to let us know they had a repo order. Is all this legal in Florida?

Thank you for your question.

No this is not legal. A vehicle cannot be reprocessed if the payments are up to date. You can consider filing suit for wrongful repossession. You would be entitled to your actual damages court costs attorneys fees and possibly punitive damages as well.
