What can my brother and sister-in-law do if they have money

Customer Question

What can my brother and sister-in-law do if they have money in a online savings account (about $7K) and a checking at ($1100) but their total debt is at $25,000? They plan on filing bankruptcy but they don't want to lose their money to all the debt.

They can consider delaying the bankruptcy and spending the money on living expenses. After they have spent the overage, they can then file.

What if they have a summons on them from one of their creditors now? They received it at the house hand delivered.
