my husband an i have been married 6 months,he brought alot of debt with him.he recently filed bankruptcy with his ex wife in question to you is we cant afford all his bills.can i file bankruptcy on my an all his prior debt since we are married now?? i have never filed before

You can file bankruptcy. However it will not effect your husband's liability on his debts. he will remain liable for his debts. Your bankruptcy can only discharge your debts.

that doesnt help me..does his debt become mine once we are married?? if so then why cant i put his vehicle on my bankruptcy.
