i filed for bankruptcy last year and it was dismissed. do i have to wait a minimum period of time before i can file again?

What chapter did you file under?

Was your case dismissed with or without prejudice?

Was you case dismissed for failure to abide by court orders?

Did you request a voluntary dismissal of your case after one of your creditors filed a motion for relief from automatic stay?

i filed chapter 13. i do not know if it was dismissed without prejudice. it was dismissed for failure to comply with court orders which was for failure to pay my mortage payment. i did not request a voluntary dismissal.

Ok, to be on a safe side, you need to wait six months before you file again. Since the case was dismissed in November, you can safely file in May.
