Can I stop a FIFA Levy in GA by filing bankruptcy and settling

Resolved Question:

Can I stop a FIFA Levy in GA by filing bankruptcy and settling the claim via an organized plan

The short answer is yes.

In fact, if the Levy/lien hasn't been perfected yet, you might be able to just stop the levy and discharge the claim in a Chapter 7. Even if it has been perfected as a lien against personal property (which it probably hasn't), you could avoid the lien to the extent that it impairs exemptions.

There is a lot of options, I would talk to a BK attorney right away. Its best to act quickly and plan.
