I hate to give you a runaround answer, but the time frame depends on who is running the background check and where they are getting their information from. A third-party background checking agency may go straight to police stations or court houses to gather information, in which case the information would be available as soon as it is filed. However, with an agency that compiles information, it may take a couple of weeks to months for that information to surface.
So, it depends on who is performing the check.
