That you sold the property is not really relevent to the bankruptcy filing. What becomes relevent is the price you sold it for and to whom. If you sold your house worth 1 million to your brother for $4.00 There are questions of fraudulent conveyance, disposing of property to hinder creditors and all sorts of other protlems. If, on the other hand you sold the house after it was listed by a real estate agent for fair market value, that is a different question and shouldn't be a problem.
