I have a iPhone 6s and have taken a chip out of the screen

I have a iPhone 6s and have taken a chip out of the screen (about 3 months ago) and it was still working till this morning. I took it back to the store and they said the warranty is void because of the screen being broken (I am still on a plan), they told me to send it off with them, or go to the Apple store and it would be cheaper, but not guaranteed to fix the problem, it could be further into the phone, but I'm unsure. I thought that when you had a plan, that the company had to supply a working phone. Can you please advise. Thank you, Wendy

Customer: Not really, main thing is, should I be getting a working phone, or do I need to purchase a new one or fix the old one.

Thanks for getting back to me....but I have spoken to the telecommunications ombudsman and have an answer. Thank you.One thing I will ask though is that I do not wish to continue a subscription to this site and have emailed to let them know, so, hope I do not get charged anymore - other than the $5. Thanks again.
