I am owed money by a builder that has gone into

Customer Question

I am owed money by a builder that has gone into administration. I had contract agreements, and the latest contract agreement which was in accordance with the PPSA 2009 was registered within 20 days of the agreement being signed and dated. However the builder went into administration before the 20 days so I thought I was classed as a secured creditor but now I am unsure.

Hello
As you do not have judgement from a court, you will simply take the 'number in the list' of debtors that this builder owes money too.
Whatever preference the administrators take in respect of debts, will be with regard to matters where court orders are made, then in date, chronological order.
