I have a renter in my house, and he has opened a legal letter addressed to me.
He has also written on the letter as well
Can you tell me if this is an offence?
JA: Because real estate law varies from place to place, can you tell me what state this is in?

They cannot open your mail it is a breach of the postal act.

It is tampering with mail

Here is some information.

You can report it to Australia post or the police. I am not sure they will do much but you cannot sue civilly for this as it is a criminal offence.
