My granfather died without specifying who should get money

Customer Question

My granfather died without specifying who should get money hidden in brickwork of his house. I am one of the people that he left a will for but nothing has been mentioned about the hidden money, now we hear that the police have it because the demolition people have laid claim to it. Who does it really belong to according to Australian law?

Hello
The money still forms part of the estate.
It belongs to your father.
The demolition people have no right to it at all!
