Can you tell me where I can find banks code of practice for a foreclosure on our home after our sons death and his wife will not pay the mortgage and will the bank transfer mortgage to us
Expert:  Leon replied 1 year ago.

Good Morning.

It is not in a code of conduct. It is all covered in the Mortgage.

The mortgage obligations continue after the passing of the borrower.

Was the wife also on the mortgage?

If you wish to take over the mortgage you have to become the owner of the house. The bank will not transfer the mortgage across to non owners.
