I have lost the deed to my mothers property. She passed away

Customer Question

I have lost the deed to my mothers property. She passed away three years ago and left the property to my brother and myself. As we can't find the deeds the rate bill is still in her name. What do we do

Good EveningMy name is ***** ***** I am a NSW Solicitor. Thank you for your question, and will do my best to assist you with your question. Are you sure there was a Deed. In QLD the Deed is usually not issued by the Lands office. It is all dealt with electronically. have you spoken with then to see if a Deed had been issued?
