I'm in the process of a property settlement (father 2 children 8&6) have sold

Customer Question

Hi I'm in the process of a property settlement (father 2 children 8&6) have sold our house and some shares and after car loans are payed out she will get all this money and the possessions furniture etc.we were together for 10 years I'm 50 she is 40 she has never worked in our time together, always stay at home mum, including a child from previous marriage ( hers) which I supported faithfully as her ex never payed child support as a mutual agreement. I have 160000 in super she has $ 17000. They are saying she is entitled to at least 60 % of this , I'm cool if that was over the 10 year period we were together, I find it grossly unfair , I'm ok with her having everything else, i will support my children in good faith with child support. Should she only be getting percentage of the married period?

Hello she is not entitled to that amount in super. She will be able to obtain around 60% of the whole property at most. Please click accept
