my neighbour is erecting brick garage 200mm inside his boundary.
A existing colorbond fence is erected to this common boundary
Some of the fence has been demolished by my neighbour during excavation for this structure.
Plans submitted to the Council for approval clearly show no fencing to the boundary for the extent of the length of the new garage, approx 14000 long.
I want the fence to be re-erected where it has been demolished and retained for the complete length of the common boundary.
Can I insist with my request? Will the cost of restoration be at my neighbour's cost. Regards XXXXX XXXXX Canterbury .

If the fence was ok to begin with, then he must adhere to having it erected at their cost.

If there is any dispute, you can file an application to the local court.

Please accept.
