HiI have been in a relationship with a Hong Kong national lady now for 12 months. She has a 2 year student visa (as i understand it). I believe that her current visa will expire in Aug/Oct this year.We currently live apart, myself in the ACT, she in Sydney. We have wish to get married and have her stay in Australia permanently. What are our options to have her stay permanently in Australia?RegardsPete ACT
Nothing so far, only some info from a immigration agent, who suggested we get married as soon as possible, to help with any visa application.
If you are willing to marry her, then she can apply for a partner visa. But you will need to make the application through a registered migration agent.I may be able to recommend a good one who can get the ball rolling on this. Just let me know if you're interested.
I did my law degree at the University of Queensland
