The flooring company who damaged the paint work on my walls has agreed to cover the damage costs for them to be repainted. I am bit worried as to the letters from this company having "without prejudice" on it. Can you tell me what this means?
This simply means that you cannot use their letters as evidence in Court. It is supposed to help parties avoid litigation in Court by allowing them to send "without prejudice" offers to one another. If those letters could be used in Court, it is less likely that parties would use them to settle - and that would mean more matters clogging up the Court. If my answer has been helpful or informative, please press the Accept button.
