I am a contracting Mine Surveyor in Queensland, I have my own Business Name and ABN number. I do not employ anyone. The Mining Company I am contracting to have requested I get my own Work Cover Insurance, do I need this? or could you suggest a insurance just to cover myself? Hope all this makes sense. [/QUOTE] Yes, all contractors are required to have workers compensation insurance, even if the business is just yourself.Allianz is the only Queensland insurance company I am aware of that offer this type of insurance to small businesses.
