Customer Question

Hello Pearl
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long have you been dealing with this?
Customer: I have an Elextrolux double oven model number EVE 626BA
JA: What's the make and model of your oven? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: We only bought it this year. However I have been having problems with it. Three times in the past week it appears to be over heating. I had it on 'Cook from Frozen' last night and manually set the oven at 155 however the actual temperature was shown to be 240. I had it on 180 for Traditional Bake and the actual temperature was 240. The grill last night on the lower oven almost caught on fire. It turned itself off the other day in the midst of cooking - I had the grill on at the top and the traditional bake on in the lower oven. In all cases I have been using both ovens at once.
JA: Do you plan on doing the work yourself?
Customer: Sorry????
JA: What confuses you?
Customer: I don't even know what 'the work' is yet. I just sent you the problem
JA: Anything else we should know to help you best?
Customer: not that I am aware of

OK perhaps because you are in Australia and I'm in the UK I cant get access to that model number but the first port of call would be to check out the oven thermostat, set it on its lowest setting and see if it actually cuts off at all?

Customer: replied 7 months ago.
Thanks Ian we will try that.
