have a westinghouse sb908 dishwasher. water does not enter on starting a cycle. i suspect a faulty inlet valve? thoughts?

If the valve is getting energized (usually will hum or buzz) and the water is good from your home's water supply, the valve is indeed faulty. Does it seem to be getting power at the start of the cycle?
