Hi i have a samsung sw80sp diamond drum washing machine it is displaying dE error and will not change! have seen whether the pipe is clear of debris and the pipe itself is fine. it drains when i do "child lock" it simply appears to not rinse or spin as the main issues!
Already Tried: clearing pipe. child lock to drain (which does work) spinning seems to be issue, i may have over filled it :S

Hi Sarah,Thank you for your reply, there is no need to apoligise The dE error fault code refers to the door interlock safety switch.dE = Door ErrorThe controller of the washing machine is sensing a problem with the door safety lock switch locks the machine door for all operations of the machine. It basically thinks the door isnt closed and locked and this is why the fault code is displaying. It is a top loader though?
Same thing, only with the lid switch instead of the safety door locking switch as per a front loader. The lid hinge presses against a lever inside the control panel compartment on a top loader and they have a bad habit of rusting away (the spring/contacts etc)The fault code is the same, the machine thinks the lid isn't closed, even though it is.
