I 2 am having the same problem as all the other people port cannot be found chec settings etc help

I have a janome customizer 2000 i can't getdesigns onto card or read designs from card. it keeps telling me serial port can;t be found check settings between computer and device.help

Hi, I am trying to ust the Janome Customizer 2000. When I try to read from card format or write to card, I get a communication error on screen click ok then I get check if scan card is properly set. After doing this 20 million times all have achieved is grey hairs. Help Thankx Colleen

already updated software but did it again via the link no difference.

So the card is removable and is insetred into a multimedia port on the computer, updated and then placed into the Janome correct?

the card is removable from the sewing machine. it can't be inserted directly into the computer it has to go into the janome customiser 2000 connected via rs232 connection

Type of Windows operating system please?

If you are using a 64BIT operating system, then this will never work.

The problem is that this device and the software were originally designed for Windows 95/98 and ME.

There is the update for XP and Vista and Windows 7, but it only supports 32 bit operating systems, not the 64 bit versions.

I did however find this, you can insert your card into this reader and use the Janome software to do the things you require*

Its USB, so it will work on just about anything* and it takes up to 24 different cards, including your Janome one*

When I researched this, a lot of other people moved on to card readers themselves, its just finding one cheap and that does the card for Janome machines*
