AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

What is the model number of your machine please?

Customer :

the model number is XXX

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

Its on a sticker, located on the left hand rear side of the control panel usually, I really need the full model number, not just the size* Cheers,

Customer :

ok will get it asap

Customer :

ill have the model number in about 20 seconds

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

good stuff

Customer :

model number is XXXXXXXX

Customer :

is that the correct one

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

certainly is, thank you,

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

The rinse light that is flashing, which one is it? The deep rinse, or the normal one in between the wash and spin lights??

Customer :

not the deep rinse

Customer :

the one in between wash and spin lights

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

okay, this is what the service manual says about your problem:

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

Simpson Ezi set:

Customer :

overload in motor temprature?

Customer :

due to suds ?

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

yes, more or less,

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

it says, wait, the problem may clear itself,

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

If not, turn the dial to drain/spin and run all the way to the end,

Customer :

we tried that

Customer :

but drain/spin wont work at all

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

Well, all you can do is unplug from the wall for one hour, let the motor/pump cool down and then try it in a while.. go strait to the spin/drain as recommended and wait till the end. Then try re-starting the machine again from the beginning,

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

If that doesn't work, then you will have a motor fault and it will need correct diagnosis from a repair mechanic, if you wish to solve the problem completely.

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

EF: Motor Fault (Rinse Flashing)

Customer :

the washing machine was off for about 48 hours

Customer :

before we tried to wash a load today

Customer :

so i think it had enough time to become cool during the 48 hour process

Customer :

so maybe it would be the motor fault

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

Yes, it would have had sufficient time to cool

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

Maybe get it powered up again, start a wash cycle, leave it sit for a while with the code showing and see if it will clear itself,,Fingers crossed it does,

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

Start at rinse and spin,, if you can

Customer :

since the motor fault is coming up

Customer :

can it be that the motor is burnt out

Customer :

if we do open the unit up any ways to fix up the motor fault

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

Something is not right with the motor, that is correct.

Customer :

so basically if it wont start up we will be basically looking for a motor ?

Customer :

a new motor

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

Well, if you can work out exactly what the problem is yes,

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

More or less, yes,

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

If it is direct drive, do not bother,,

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

if it is just the normal electric motor,, then just get a good second hand one if you can , new is about $300+

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

not worth it,

Customer :

my brother just tried the machine again

Customer :

when set to drain/spin

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

and?

Customer :

when set to drain/spin

Customer :

the spin and deep rinse is flashing

Customer :

so nothing is happening other then beeping and flashing of those two

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

Code PU: the pump is not draining correctly, (Rinse and spin flashing)

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

Check the drain hose, and the water pump for blockage/damage/ etc

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

did the water pump out properly?

Customer :

the water is stuck in the washing machine

Customer :

but we filled the washing machine up with water to see if that gets it going

Customer :

do you need water to do drain/spin ?

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

yes, so if the pump blocked error is showing when it should be draining and spinning, then you need to work out why the pump is not working, is it jammed with something, is it burn out and not working>?? is the drain hose, or tub to pump hose blocked with anything,??

Customer :

we will check now to see if there is a blockage

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

Start from the beginning, get rid of the water, drop the drain hose out the back door and drain it manually okay, after that, put the machine into drian/spin mode, the pump should fire up strait away and run for the entire cycle, all the way to the end. Let it finish the drain/spin cycle okay,,

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

let me know how you go okay,

Customer :

ok

Customer :

how long will you be online for

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

Just message me and I should get notification etc okay,,

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

Unplug it again while your doing the inspection etc,,

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

ok

Customer :

hi

Customer :

we just had a major probelm the pipe at the back of the washing machine was on with a clip

Customer :

i tried to put it in a down position so that water can exist out the pipe but the clip was loose and water flushed out

Customer :

after trying the washing machine

Customer :

the rinse and deep rinse is flashing now

Customer :

and still doing nothing

Customer :

now we tried to do it

Customer :

and the rinse red light is showing up

Customer :

and doing nothing

Customer :

the red just shows no blinking

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

SO the machine is empty now?

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

100% ?

Customer :

correct

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

okay, so no water, what happens now when you go to the drain spin cycle and push start?

Customer :

spin light stays on but nothing happens

Customer :

no flashing of lights

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

Is the machine pumping?

Customer :

no

Customer :

nothing at all

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

leave it,, wait for a bout 5 mins, to see if it will spin, ok

Customer :

ok

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

On the drain and spin cycle. the machine should be sitting there pumping away(even when empty) for about 3 - 5 mins before it will try and spin usually...

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

any luck so far?

Customer :

the rinse

Customer :

keeps blinking

Customer :

now

Customer :

and then after it beeps then it locks the lid and thats it

Customer :

so pretty much no luck at all tonight

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

no, it doesn't sound real good.

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

Maybe start fresh tomorrow,,

Customer :

yer will give it a shot tomorrow to see what happens

Customer :

so how long does ths just answer website work for is it a one off thing

Customer :

or on going support to solve problem

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

unplug it now, leave it off overnight, and start from the beginning tomorrow. Put it on normal wash and see if it will fill(small water level) and agitate, drain and then spin. report to me your findings and we will go from there,

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

You put up a $15 deposit, I will give you as much help as I think I can,

Customer :

ok

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

Ill wait to hear back from you then okay,

Customer :

ok thank you so much for your time tonight

Customer :

have a good one mate

AUSSIE- Repair Tech. :

Cheers
