Thank you for that information.

So the engine does not crank over correct?

What is the battery voltage at on both batteries?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
Engine does crank over, just won't start and then it sounds like the batteries are being drained. The main batter is now at 7 (should be 12) and the secondary is still around 12. The 'wait to start' light flickers on and off, which is new, it use to be on solidly then go off, so I wait for it to go off, start, and it grinds, wont turn over, like a flat battery, then the horn blasts
Expert:  Amedee replied 2 months ago.

You could simply just have a bad battery or batteries..

Have you tried jumping them or charging them?

If so, and if the voltage still stays low on the main battery it is bad and will need to be replaced.

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
we have done all that, I've had mechanics out, I've had auto electricans out, when he left yesterday it started, today it does not. One battery if brand new, the other about 6 months old. Why does the horn sound ? that is new, what causes that
Expert:  Amedee replied 2 months ago.

When does the horn sound?

Customer: replied 2 months ago.
when it won't start, it ends with a horn blast
Expert:  Amedee replied 2 months ago.

Security system, wiring, fuse block or BCM could do this..

ok well your of no help whatsoever ... thanks
