Customer Question

Just had a radiator replaced and now transmission fluid is leaking - any correlation?
JA: How old are the hoses? And just to clarify, can you actually see the leak?
Customer: Hoses are a couple of years old, can't see the leak but is dripping on the inside left hand wheel. It's a Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd 2001
JA: Are you fixing your Grand Cherokee yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I haven't tried anything yet but transmission fluid has completely drained over a 24 hour period
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I've called the mechanic who put in the radiator - not sure how up to it he is with jeeps but seemed strange I picked it up from the shop yesterday and now I have no transmission fluid

Hi there,

Sounds like a transmission cooler hose has been damaged on assembly, or is now leaking since is has been disturbed.

You should get your mechanic out to your house for an inspection.
