My girlfriends 2010 holden barinas fan has stopped working

Customer Question

hello.
JA: Hello. How can we help?
Customer: my girlfriends 2010 holden barinas fan has stopped working on settings one and two and not blowing cold air at all on 3 and 4 I'm just wondering if its most likely a blown resistor as I've checked all fuses and they are fine
JA: Most vehicles have two fuse panels. Have you located both?
Customer: yip checked the one inside near the drivers door and the ones in the engine bay
JA: What is the model of your '10 Holden?
Customer: its a 2010 holden barina
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yeah i was going to fix it myself or at least find out what it is my self so my gf doesn't get taken advantage of if she takes it to the shop
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: just if its not the fuses what is it likely to be. the resistors or relays and how can i test the relays?

Hi there,

The resistor is blown, common for the low speeds.

I would replace the fan motor as well, since it is the cause.

Or you can keep replacing the resistor when it blows again.
