Hi Im David, thanks for visiting the site. did you use an aftermarket starter or one from a dealer? was there a spacer plate when you removed the old one? did you tighten the bolts to the new on to spec? can you manually turn the engine over by hand usung a socket and ratchet on the crank pulley?

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

If you get a single click when turning the key to the crank position it's either an issue with the starter itself, cables and connections, possibly the battery, or the engine may not be able to physically turn due to an internal issue.

What was the issue with the original starter?
