this engine uses the plunger method to set the timing

I've attached the diagram showing the measurement

where you set the crank pulley to TDC on its marks and then set the pump so the plunger is at the right height

that is not what I am after. I want to know how to time the fuel injector pump and how to set the dial up on the back of the injector pump. What degree to set it on and how to do this. Please send clear instructions.

I do beg your pardon, I've cropped off the important part

the crank pulley is set to BTDC on its mark as shown and the plunger should then be protruding the 0.54 to 0.66mm out the back
