I have a 2010 Triton, when I connect a trailer no lights on

Customer Question

I have a 2010 Triton, when I connect a trailer no lights on the trailer work. The trailer lights are LED so I don't know if this is a current problem or a fuse/relay problem on the car itself. Any ideas?
JA: How many miles are on the car? Has the car been starting normally?
Customer: 150,000km. The car starts and runs fine.
JA: What is the model of your '10 Mitsubishi?
Customer: GLX Dual Cab Well Body
JA: Are you fixing your Cab yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I would like to replace the flat 7 pin connector with a round 7 pin connector. I have 4 different trailers all with LED lights and the round 7 pin so would like to change the plug on the Triton to suit. I'm wondering if I need to install load resistors because of the LED trailer lights or if there is a fuse somewhere for the trailer connector in the car.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No, that should be it.

All the trailer lights work fine on other vehicles - '93 Landcruiser, 2015 Triton, 2015 Hilux.

Hi there,

Sounds like the common ground on Pin 1 (white wire) is open at the back of the socket.
