Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

There are many things that will cause the engine to die and it will take some testing at the time the problem is happening to determine what is going on. It sounds as if the engine controller may be going down, which could be due to an internal failure or a loss of power or ground to it.

Have you checked for fault codes?
