I have a Holden jackaroo 3.5L V6 engine. There is a coolant

Customer Question

I have a Holden jackaroo 3.5L V6 engine. There is a coolant leak at the rear engine on the passenger side next to the fire wall which is failing on the the exhaust manifold but is difficult to spot.I am driving a short distance approx 10 klms but the engine isnt overheating due to the cold mornings. One morning it look like someone had put a kettle under the bonnet. Any idea Thank you

Hi David,

Could be the thermostat housing o-ring.

The inlet manifold needs to be lifted up a bit to see in the valley area.

If there is a weep in there, it fills up the area and weeps out the back.

Hope this helps.

Hi David,

Have you had any success with your Jackaroo?

I don't get to see many V6s these days, especially with 360000km on the clock.

I hope my advice has been of assistance to you.

Kind regards

Gary
