Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

It sounds as if you may have an immobilizer related issue if you're seeing a red flashing light.

Wen you turn the key on do you hear the fuel pump run initially?

Have you tested the battery or checked battery voltage?
Have you tried a second key?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No I have tried the second key but the old owner is bringing it soon how do I test the battery and what mistake have I done so I don't do it in future
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
no when I turn the key nothing happens at all
Expert:  sprinkles08 replied 1 year ago.

A battery tester woudl be needed to actually load test it but you could at least test it's voltage with a voltmeter. If you have a voltmeter test the voltage at rest and then after having the headlamps on for two minutes.

I've tried other key and nothing has happened do you think it can be a broken ignition
Expert:  sprinkles08 replied 1 year ago.

It's possible that the problem is in the lock cylinder.

Is the steering column locked?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No the steering column is not locked
