My 1997 Toyota tarago seemed fine till yesterday as I went

Customer Question

My 1997 Toyota tarago seemed fine till yesterday as I went to start it,it seemed as though the battery went flat when I put key in and attempted to kick it over. I tried to jump start it with my jump starter pack but it does nothing when I turn the key to start. All the dash lights come on but it does not even make a noise or even try kick over

Hi there,

Not many cars will start with a dead flat battery and a jump pack.

The battery in the car needs some charge, there's just too much load on the jump pack.

Have you got another battery, or a battery charger?

Yep I do have a charger. But there was no indication of the battery going flat in anyway. The car was going perfect as always does when I drove it the day b4. When I turned the key yesterday it started to kick over and then suddenly died b4 it started and appeared to be flat. Afterwards when u turn the key all the reds come on bright and normal but doesn't at all start to kick. Does not make a sound at all. No clicking or sort of lagging noise like u would normally get with flat battery. U turn the key and it's just silent

Ok.

Is your car manual or auto trans?

Sounds like a starter motor or neutral start switch if auto trans.

Do the headlights stay bright when you try to start?
