can I replace an AU Alternator 2 pin with a 3 pin or are changes necessary

Hello

providing you can identify what wire is waht on the 3 pin then yes its possible as the old 2 pin will have had the 'sense' wire that runs back to the charge light and an 12V feed with the earth off the alternator body

whereas the new will possibly have the earth running back to the instrument pack so that may need bridging over to earth
