Mercedes GL500 'active light function inoperative' error. Does anyone know what parts are required to fix this and where to buy?

Hello do you know what codes they had ? If the dealer had already diagnosed it was there a printout they have given you ? A lot of things can cause this same message so I would need the codes before I can advise further. Lou

Well for the active light the only Involved components are the headlights , a control module , and the light sensor. That's no 5000$ worth

I would go to another shop for a second opinion. From what you say sounds like they are guessing. Diagnosis on these cars are easy for a seasoned technician.
