My name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Just Answer. I noticed that your question was not getting a response and thought I would see if you still need help with this.I apologize for the delay and I hope I can still assist you with this here.
With the light coming on like this here there should be at least one code setting for this issue. If you can get it to a dealer or repair center with the light on they can usually retrieve the codes best then to locate and repair this fault. This sounds like an EVAP (fuel tank emissions) fault as this will set codes with less then 3/4 of a tank but usually not near a full tank.
Thanks Pete
