Holden astra: 2001 holden vectra 1.8 throttle on car not working

2001 holden vectra 1.8 throttle on car not working no revs. Am able to push eccelerator to the floor what part do i get i was told i have to get a TPI or TPS

Hello
1st thing to try is to clean out the throttle with some brake cleaner and a lint free rag as they can just gum up over time with accumalated carbon
if this doesn't help then the throttle body will have to be replaced as its an electric throttle on these with the position sensor ( TPS) built into the unit
so if its not opening smoothly when you press the pedal ( have your assistant push the pedal while you watch the throttle ) the ignition needs to be on for this but the engine off then the throttle body will have to be replaced
