I have a mazda cx7 2010 diesel model and the stereo is working but no sound is coming out. It's was working fine the other day and then just stopped - I can switch between am fm, cd and Bluetooth but no sound at alol. This happened once before whEn I first got the car and mazda fixed it but now it's out of warranty and i can't live without my tunes in the car. Is there anything I can check myself???

Hi,
If you stereo facia appears normal, (volume up and down etc responds to the volume knob etc)
and all functions appear normal, I'd say the fault is internal to the head unit.
Has the head unit been replaced by Mazda previously?
If not, do you know what they did?

2010-2011 CX-7 - SUDDEN LOSS OF SOUND FROM AUDIO SYSTEM
APPLICABLE MODEL(S)/VINS
2010-2011 CX-7 vehicles with VINs lower than JM3ER******381202 (produced before April 1, 2011)
DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may exhibit a sudden loss of sound from the audio system (radio or CD) while driving. In some cases, DTCs U0186:00 or U0193:00 may be stored.
The audio software has been changed to eliminate this concern.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Verify customer concern.
2. Refer to the MS3 online instructions or Workshop Manual (section 09-02E ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC [AUDIO] and/or (section 09-03H SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING [ENTIRE AUDIO SYSTEM]) for troubleshooting information.
3. If no trouble is found other than the audio system, replace the audio unit (section 09-20 AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION) with an exchange unit available through Exchange Central on the MX Connect website.
4. Verify repair.
